MUMBAI UNIVERSITY OVERVIEW

Mumbai University was established in the year 1857 and was previously named the University of Bombay. It is the first state university in the country and is the oldest university in Maharashtra. The university is ranked 71 among the top universities in the country by NIRF. It has been accorded 5-star status and an A++ grade status by NAAC. The university offers various UG, PG, and doctoral programs under the departments of arts, commerce, science, technology, law, management, and arts. The University of Mumbai has a seven-point grading system.
